The Downtown Room

The Downtown Room seats up to 42 guests. The adjoining Rotunda can be added to seat up to 70 guests total. For smaller groups, the Rotunda seats up to 28 and the Blue Room seats up to 18.

No. Audio/visual cannot be accommodated in the Downtown Room. The Blue Room is the only private space at Mister A’s with audio/visual capability, available for groups of up to 16 guests.

Yes, and the room is named for them. A wall of windows runs the length of the space, putting the downtown San Diego skyline in view from the twelfth floor, and the sightline carries across the whole room rather than belonging to one end of it. It is at its best in the evening as the city lights come up.

Yes. Private event spaces at Mister A’s carry a food and beverage minimum that varies by room, day of the week and time of year. A non-refundable deposit is required to hold the date and is credited toward your final bill. Contact the events team at events@asrestaurant.com for current minimums.

Private spaces are typically reserved for three hours. If your event runs past the contracted end time, an additional fee per hour may be charged.

Parties of 15 or more are required to select a plated 3-course group menu and cannot order from the regular à la carte menu. Menu and wine selections must be finalized no later than 15 days before the event.

For nearly 60 years, Mister A’s has enforced a dress code and does its best to honor this long held tradition in the current era. Modern dress code is “business casual.” Guests not in proper attire will be turned away. Please see our full dress code policy.

For parties of 60 or more, should a choice be preferred, a quantity of each coursed item must be predetermined in advance and meal indicators must be provided by the host for each guest.
