The East Patio

The East Patio accommodates up to 50 guests for a standing cocktail reception.

No. Audio/visual is not available outdoors. The Blue Room is the only private space at Mister A’s with audio/visual capability, available for groups of up to 16 guests.

Yes. The patio looks out over downtown San Diego and the harbor from the twelfth floor, with arriving aircraft passing close enough to stop a conversation.

Yes. Private event spaces at Mister A’s carry a food and beverage minimum that varies by room, day of the week and time of year. A non-refundable deposit is required to hold the date and is credited toward your final bill. Contact the events team at events@asrestaurant.com for current minimums.

Private spaces are typically reserved for three hours. If your event runs past the contracted end time, an additional fee per hour may be charged.

Parties of 15 or more are required to select a plated 3-course group menu and cannot order from the regular à la carte menu. Menu and wine selections must be finalized no later than 15 days before the event.

For nearly 60 years, Mister A’s has enforced a dress code and does its best to honor this long held tradition in the current era. Modern dress code is “business casual.” Guests not in proper attire will be turned away. Please see our full dress code policy.

The patio is open to all diners and is not completely private. It can, however, be subdivided for individual groups. If full privacy is essential, the Blue Room, the Rotunda and the Downtown Room are enclosed private spaces.

The restaurant cannot guarantee availability of the patio during inclement weather. If adverse conditions such as rain, high winds or extreme temperatures are forecast or occur on the day of the event, the restaurant reserves the right to move the event to an indoor space within the restaurant, if available. Capacity, layout and ambiance of the indoor space may differ from the patio.

Yes. The Rotunda has direct access to the patio and the Blue Room has private access to it. Many hosts open with cocktails on the patio and move inside to one of those rooms for dinner.
